Specification and selection precautions of eyebolt

As a standard fastener, eyebolt is widely used in mechanical and electrical products. Its main function is to lift loads. As shown in the figure, it should be very common in our life.

However, attention should be paid to the specifications of eyebolts in the process of selection. Any error is likely to affect or cause losses to the project. The following is a brief introduction to the specifications of eyebolts and the matters needing attention in the selection.

GB825-88 specifies the structural type, size, technical requirements, lifting weight and service conditions of eyebolts. Technically, the eyebolts shall be made of 20 or 25 steel (GB699). The eyebolt must be forged integrally, and the forging shall be normalized and the oxide skin shall be removed. The grain size of the finished product shall not be lower than Grade 5 (GB6394), and the forging shall be free of over burning and crack defects. Therefore, in addition to the standard parts factory, other manufacturers mainly use the model. The principle for selecting the eyebolt is: first ensure the safety of operation, then consider the connection size and other factors to achieve safety, economy and beauty. To correctly select and use the eyebolt, it is necessary to deeply analyze its stress, carefully study the contents specified in the standard, and strive to have a more thorough understanding.

Some precautions should also be paid attention to when using eyebolts:

1. The above unit is ton (T);

2. The values in the table refer to the maximum lifting weight when lifting steadily;

3. The eyebolt must be screwed in to make the supporting surface closely fit, but it is not allowed to use tools to tighten it;

4. No load perpendicular to the lifting ring plane is allowed;

5. When the double screw lifting method is adopted, the two lifting rings shall be in the same plane; The included angle of the lifting cable shall not be greater than 90 °.
