Die casting

Die casting is an efficient metal forming method. It is a precision casting process in which molten metal is injected into mold cavity at high speed and high pressure for rapid solidification, so as to obtain net forming or nearly net forming casting. Die casting can produce castings with small volume, compact structure, high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality.

The main characteristics of die casting technology are:

1. High product precision. Using precision mold and mechanical operation, the product accuracy is high, the dimensional accuracy can reach CT6-CT8.

2. Good surface quality. Because the metal solidification speed is fast, the surface is smooth and delicate, no obvious shrinkage holes and other surface defects, the surface quality is good.

3. High production efficiency. Automatic production, short cycle, fast production speed, high efficiency.

4. High metal utilization rate. Precision injection and smooth surface, almost no flying edge and waste slag, metal material loss is small.

5. The equipment and mold should be precise. Need high precision die casting equipment and high precision mold, equipment and mold cost is high.
