Vacuum forming
Vacuum forming is a method of using vacuum suction to aspirate the heat-softened plastic sheet onto the surface of the mold cavity, and making the plastic compressed and thinned under its action. It uses vacuum pressure difference to make plastic molding at low temperature, belongs to a low pressure thermal molding technology, has the advantages of energy saving, environmental protection and low cost.
The main characteristics of vacuum forming are:
1. Low energy consumption. Molding at lower temperatures, lower heating and energy consumption.
2. High plastic utilization rate. Up to 95%, less material loss.
3. Uniform wall thickness of the product. Under the uniform action of vacuum pressure, uniform product wall thickness is obtained.
4. Low environmental pollution. Low temperature process, less volatile matter emission, less pollution.
5. Simple mold and equipment. There is no need for complex injection molding systems, vacuum pumps and sealing systems are simpler.
